Anchorage Airport Terminals

Anchorage Airport is the main international airport serving the largest city in the state of Alaska, Anchorage.

It is the main gateway to the Alaska frontier, which serves domestic flights within the state of Alaska, to Hawaii, the Far East; and also international flights within North America and the rest of the world.

On the other hand, seasonal and charter flights are mostly served during Summer, when ANC Airport reaches its peak passenger numbers.

Anchorage Airport counts with three long runways.

Present & future

There’s an ongoing project to renew the North/South Runway which will consist of the rehabilitation and widening of its remaining portion.

It is expected that the North/South Runway will remain closed from April to October 2019. During the renewal, the air traffic will be shifted to the east/west runways, increasing aircraft noise throughout Anchorage.
